What did you do before you got into adult?
I did everything from Fast Food to dry cleaning. My worst job was working for a company called Swisher cleaning bathrooms. My favorite job was working for the phone company as a directory assistance operator. I got paid $70k a year to screw off and talk on the phone.
How did you get into adult?
I met Steve Lightspeed online via email some time before he opened up his first pay site. We had a few free sites online together.
When did you start in the adult industry?
That's a tricky question really -- it depends on when you think I started. I started with free sites in 1996, and had my own pay site by 1998.
What makes you stay in adult?
The money. The money is too great.

I work from home, but I treat it like working at an office. I start at the same time every day, take lunch at the same time, and usually work until 6pm every day. The only difference is I tend to work in my PJs.
What are your concerns about the adult industry today?
There are so many problems these days that it's no longer funny.
Half of us complain about tube sites while the other half say "They just like TGPs". Well, TGPS didn't give away twenty minutes of videos, and TGPs send traffic to anyone who's content they are using. The entry barrier has been lowered to the point where anyone can now join in the industry. In a few cicks you can have your own blog and not know a thing about what your doing. What sites do you visit on a daily basis?

How many people do you have on your ICQ list?
Nearly 700. My ICQ keeps going off saying "so and so is online" and it gets annoying.
Are you a workaholic?
Yes. I work about 10-12 horus a day.
Do you feel that the long hours you put in affects your personal life? Or have your work life and personal life become so intertwined that they are one and the same?
I try to balance my personal life with my work life. There is time set aside for my personal life every night.
Do you feel there is still room for new people in this industry to make a decent living?
Yes, but only if they are willing to put in the effort. The overall quality of the average affiliate has dropped. They want all of these tools and want programs to do most of the work for them. It's getting to the point where programs can invest a small amount of time and money can create traffic generating systems themselves, making the affiliate side of the business no longer worth it.
What motivates you to succeed?
My house payment.
What piece of advice would you like to give regarding the industry?
Your reputation is everything in this business. Make one mistake early on in the game, piss the wrong person off, and it will take you years to recover.
If you had one selfish wish,what would it be?
One Selfish wish? I want a Ferrari. I work from home and rarely leave the house, so my Mustang collects dust and I feel foolish about it. But I want a Ferrari.
What is your favorite adult industry show and why?
Phoenix Forum. Great weather, great hotel, free food all afternoon long.
What sports are you into and what is your favorite team? Do you participate or just watch?
I don't get sports. I played Baseball and Football in High School; I was a basketball superstar. But my step father was from Europe and had zero interest in watching American sports on TV. I never got into watching sports on TV and don't understand it today. It's similar to porn really -- would you rather watch a porno or go get laid yourself? Would you rather watch someone play football on tv, or would you rather go out and play football in a field with two dozens of your friends?

What is on your bucket list?
Italy. I've always wanted to see Italy.
What is your most prized possesion?
My Mustang Cobra. I've had eight Mustangs in the past 12 years, and each one gets faster and better. I like the Mustangs because of the beefy V8, the huge trunk, combined with a back seat. Everyone calls my car a Mustang but it's a few steps up from that and supercharged. Ironically, it's faster than the Ferrari I want to buy.
Do you consider yourself a saver or a spender?
I'm a spender, but I'm also cheap.
Tell us about your pet(s).
I have a dog, a black lab, named Sparky. She's been with us for about four years now and I run with her every morning. Great dog.
What makes you angry?
I don't get angry. I don't believe in being upset or angry. I've been pissed off twice in my life, and in both cases there was a lot of property damage. Don't piss me off!
Favorite movie of all time? Why?
Top Gun. I so wanted to be Mavrick!
If you could get exclusive rights to the sex tape of anyone living, who would it be and why?
Hayden Panieterre. She's so fucking hot.
What is the most you have paid for a pair of shoes? What about a shirt?
I went into a store and looked a $130 shirt this past weekend. Just couldn't spend that much on a shirt.
What kind of car(s) do you drive and what is on the "want" list?
I want a Ferrari. My pick would be a 1979 Daytona Spyder, but I'll take a 2004 360 Spyder all the same.
What is your favorite food and what food do you refuse to eat?
I love pizza. The East Coast stuff, not the crappy Dominos we here in California?
Are you a gamer? What game systems do you use and what are your favorite games?
Sort of... I used to play Red Alert back in the day, and I've been into Quake, Generals, and Counterstrike.
However, recently I discovered Battlefield2. Combined with the new super computer and I've been spending more time than usual playing video games on my computer after hours instead of working! |
