Private Feeds celebrated 10 years in business this year. How do you feel the cam industry has changed over the years?
We actually started broadcasting in June 2000, I did start the work on the company in October 1999 and got it incorporated in April 2000, so to be accurate I would prefer saying we celebrated 9 years in business and the big 10 will be next year.
Was Private Feeds your first adult endeavor or were you involved in another aspect of the adult industry prior to that?
Yes it was, and it was quite a drastic change from the cable industry I was in before. Also, we started with a project of doing live feeds, content and paysites. After about a year we decided to focus on the cams as it was the best money maker for us and we didn't have enough resources to put the right energy on all projects at once. That was one of the best business decisions we've made because since than we have grown the company to what it is today by always focusing on our core product.
If you had to name the best feature of Superfeeds, your free members area upsell would you say it was the daily free hardcore show, the quality of your cam performers or the fact you are not overexposed and therefore are unique?
It's pretty hard to make the right pick, Superfeeds is definitely something different that other cam programs are not offering. By allowing paysite operators to offer free daily hardcore shows to their members who would have to pay for it if they wanted to see it from our sites, adds tremendous value to their offering. It's a big boost to member retention which is a constant battle especially now with all the free content out there. It's also a good offering for our cam girls as they get paid a flat fee for performing the one hour show, that way they get very good exposure to get more new clients addicted. It has become so popular that we can pick the very best performers that will get the highest audience satisfaction. Although superfeeds is an easy sell, surprisingly few major paysites are currently using it. This makes it a very fresh product, allowing those who are using it to do extremely well by the looks of the checks we're printing twice a month. We would like to see it gain popularity to allow us to increase the number of daily shows as the traffic grows. One thing is for sure, we'll never run out of exclusive talent haha!
Where were you born and where do you reside now?
I was born in Ottawa, raised in Gaspe, in the country and ended up in Montreal after I graduated from college.
What kind of child where you? Where you the shy one, the dare devil, the charmer or the brat?
I have to say I was quite noisy, always needed others' attention. I always had good grades 'til I hit college and cared more about partying than studying.
Who was your hero growing up?
I don't think I really had a hero...one thing I knew was what I wanted to become and that was a businessman, I never hesitated a second when it came the time to choose my career.
If you were not in the adult industry what do you think you would have done career wise?
Same thing, without the TnA
Adult is ever changing, where do you see the business in 10 years?
The whole business model of free content such as youtube and free sites will have to fade otherwise the content producers will just stop producing. In the cam business, I believe there will always be a market for its interactivity. People are more and more connected to their computer or mobile than ever and they'll never get bored of finding the right person to do the right performance for them. The only worry I have is if they do ever invent the perfect robotic lover, that's where we will die lol!
How much would you estimate your biggest cam spender has spent over the years?
I wouldn't want to put the exact number here but let's agree its definitely in the hundreds of thousands of dollars.
Is dealing with a lot of models working remotely difficult; is there as much drama associated with that side of the business as most people assume there is?
When I started in this business we had our own in-house models. The studio operation was fun at times but a really big pain in the butt. Another good decision we took was to get rid of that operation back in 2004.
Where is your ideal vacation spot?
Considering we just had a second baby I would have to say my bed! I really enjoy Vegas for the entertainment and the dining with my wife. If it's for a womanless trip then my salmon fly fishing spot back home is by far the best place to go. Thailand, Amsterdam, Prague, the Caribbean's... I've been to so many countries and each has something great to talk about so I'll stop blabbing now or I'll keep on going forever.
What is your biggest regret so far in life?
I never had sex with more than one girl at the same time....sad....very sad!
What is the most important thing that your parents taught you?
Respect, honesty
If you could change one thing about yourself instantly with no effort what would it be?
I guess dropping a couple pounds would be cool but I would hesitate with the 10 inch dick
You live in Canada and Canada is such a large and beautiful country. Have you managed to see a lot of it and if so what is your favorite area to visit?
Canada is definitely a great place to live. I haven't seen enough of it as most of my traveling were for business and short periods. Mont Tremblant is definitely one of my favorite places in Canada right behind home sweet home, the Gaspe Peninsula.
Are you a materialistic type of person or do you consider yourself more the thrifty/saver type of person?
I'm not very good at personal savings. I don't really look at prices and hate to have coins in my pockets so sticking around me when I go shopping can bring you a profit. I really enjoy my new truck and the beautiful house we're building so I have to admit I'm somewhat of a spender, but on the other hand I've managed to always keep most of my income out of my personal hands so that way I do have most of it invested in some great stocks and fantastic private companies that have done wonderful losses for me over the years! lol
What is your biggest toy you have purchased (car etc.)?
Gotta be my 2008 Audi Q7 fully loaded with the 21 inch wheels, a bad boy!
